NICE 1819
NICE #1819, scheduled to leave Hempstead at 7 a.m., zips along Conklin Street, Farmingdale about 7:49. A few seconds later, I heard him stop for a passenger I had seen waiting at Staples Street. The N72 is due in Babylon at 8:02, the fifth eastbound of the day, providing service where the LIRR does not. The ten straight miles on NY 24 between Hempstead and Farmingdale gets 2 tph midday, 4 during rush hours, from N70/N72. Photograph taken June 6, 2012 by Joe McMahon.
