MTA 9526681 viewsThe 9500s were the last order of Flxibles delivered to MTA, and among the last orders to roll out of the Flx Corporation. The 9500 series is also notable for two other distinctions: the series was comprised two distinct vehicle types (9501 - 9510 were Nabi/Ikarus while 9521 - 9539 were Flx); and 9511 - 9520 never existed.

Delivered and entering service in 1997, the 9700s are now in the twilight of their operation. Originally an order of 50, their numbers are slowly dwindling as the series is being retired.

The 9400s were a 1994 order but didn't arrive until 1995. 9401-9430 were powered by Cummins M-11 engines and 9431-35 had Detroit Series 60s, a departure from the standard 6V-92 engines equipped on most Flxible Metros ordered by MTA up to that time.
