Green Lines 441652 views#441 - A 1933 Mack Model 6BC3S (ser# 1284) originally purchased to service Manhattan crosstown runs but spent most of its life in surburban Queens County.

Green Lines 629788 views#629 - a 1937 Mack model 6CT3S (ser# 1204) along with 69 other CT's became the backbone of the fleet in the late thirties

Green Lines 942948 views# 942 - a 1947 GM Model TDH4507 (ser#0867) originally built for and rejected by Surface Transportation. Note the large old fashioned 'city' headlamps which were soom replaced by sealed beams.
This bus eventually went to Jamaica Buses

Manhattan & Queens Bus Corp. 1101031 viewsNumber yet to be assigned at factory - a 1937 Mack model 6CT3S built for Manhattan and Queens Bus Corporation (#101 to 130) and acquired by Green Line in 1943 with the purchase of the company.
Most of these buses eventually went to Jamaica Buses.

Green Lines 9121036 views#912 - a 1946 GM TD4506 (ser#0731) boasted several milestones for the company including; first GM products, first Diesels, & first fully automatics.
Wartime shortages of chromium and stainless steel left these buses very austere!

Green Lines 363895 views#363 - 1952 GM TDH5104 - the first 40 footers or 'gondola cars' as they were nicknamed - one of fifteen numbered 351 to 365 and used mostly to service Q10 and Q60 (Mr. Cooper's pet routes) - these buses were unusual in that they were 96" wide.

Green Lines 3351575 views# 335 - a 1950 GM TDH 4509 photographed on a training run in Riis Park Rockaway - Fifteen Green Line drivers & one mechanic were dispatched to Pontiac, Mich. to pick up half this 35 bus order due to a shortage of GM delivery chauffuers.

Green Lines 1131402 views#113 - a 1954 GM model TDH 4512 - part of a fifteen bus order (101 to 115) and the first to be equpped with 'air suspension'.
These buses eventually went to Kent State University and to various New Jersey operators.

Green Lines 514716 views#514 - a 1935 Mack model 6CX3S (ser# 1014) - one of a 35 bus order (501 to535) and one of only fifty manufactured by Mack, and the last of the front engines.
This short 33 passenger job made the twists and turns of narrow streets much easier to negotiate.

Green Lines 824763 views#824 - a 1939 Mack model CM3G (Ser# 1087) dressed for the 39/40 World's Fair, and the first with an 'Air Clutch' eliminating the clutch pedal affording a much smoother ride.

Green Lines 9071594 views#907 a 1946 GM TD4506 repainted to new apple green and cream livery in 1947.
Notice the added GM wings and logo under the winshield and the chromium plated bumper.
