Green Lines 441662 views#441 - A 1933 Mack Model 6BC3S (ser# 1284) originally purchased to service Manhattan crosstown runs but spent most of its life in surburban Queens County.

Green Lines 942957 views# 942 - a 1947 GM Model TDH4507 (ser#0867) originally built for and rejected by Surface Transportation. Note the large old fashioned 'city' headlamps which were soom replaced by sealed beams.
This bus eventually went to Jamaica Buses

Green Lines 9121049 views#912 - a 1946 GM TD4506 (ser#0731) boasted several milestones for the company including; first GM products, first Diesels, & first fully automatics.
Wartime shortages of chromium and stainless steel left these buses very austere!

Green Lines 3351588 views# 335 - a 1950 GM TDH 4509 photographed on a training run in Riis Park Rockaway - Fifteen Green Line drivers & one mechanic were dispatched to Pontiac, Mich. to pick up half this 35 bus order due to a shortage of GM delivery chauffuers.

Green Lines 514728 views#514 - a 1935 Mack model 6CX3S (ser# 1014) - one of a 35 bus order (501 to535) and one of only fifty manufactured by Mack, and the last of the front engines.
This short 33 passenger job made the twists and turns of narrow streets much easier to negotiate.

Green Lines 9071614 views#907 a 1946 GM TD4506 repainted to new apple green and cream livery in 1947.
Notice the added GM wings and logo under the winshield and the chromium plated bumper.

Manhattan & Queens Bus Corp. 203911 views# 203 a 1946 GM model TD4506 (ser# 0737) flagged as Manhattan & Queens Bus Corporation subsidiary.
Shown heading southbound on Queens Blvd. in Kew Gardens, NY
Notice the vented rear engine compartment doors that were eliminated on the 4507 models.
Looks as though emissions were not a big issue in those days!

Green Lines 716838 views# 716 - a 1938 Mack model CT3G (Ser# 1016) 37 passenger (@$ 9721.20 ea.) spending its final days in the Rockaways.
This bus must have been very close to retirement because the body was no longer kept in Green Line tradition!
Most of these buses eventually went to Jamaica Buses.
