633 viewsRetired GMC New Look at MTC South Garage in April, 1999. Photograph taken by Mike Gallant.

During a trip to Minneapolis in April '99, I found this non-operational 1967 GMC New Look bus sitting on a deserted lot at the MTC South Garage near the airport. The MTC had purchased a bunch of GMC New Looks in the 1960s but did not continue with General Motors for future bus orders. Instead, the company ordered Flxible New Looks in the 1970s. Sidenote: All Flxible New Looks arrived with the same all-red paint scheme, similar to this GMC coach....blech!!

448 viewsThe tailends of two GMC New Looks for SCE&G(South Carolina Electric & Gas) in Columbia, SC. If I'm not mistaken, the middle bus is a 1968 GMC- as revealed by the '68 style tail lights. Take notice of the unpainted RTS bus. Most of the newer SCE&G vehicles in the fleet [RTS and Gillig equipment] has no paint schemes (stripes/markings)- just plain white buses.12/10/16 at 00:54TheDriver: love the 1968 or 3rd generation back sides
