MTA 9404800 viewsMaryland MTA #9404 taking a layover while working route 5 at Mondawmin Station.

The 9400s were a 1994 order but didn't arrive until 1995. 9401-9430 were powered by Cummins M-11 engines and 9431-35 had Detroit Series 60s, a departure from the standard 6V-92 engines equipped on most Flxible Metros ordered by MTA up to that time. They were held in high regard by operators, patrons, and fans alike for their power and performance. They were retired in 2010. Photograph taken September 2, 2008 by Gary Calicchia.

Delivered and entering service in 1997, the 9700s are now in the twilight of their operation. Originally an order of 50, their numbers are slowly dwindling as the series is being retired.Apr 11, 2011

MTA 9526678 viewsThe 9500s were the last order of Flxibles delivered to MTA, and among the last orders to roll out of the Flx Corporation. The 9500 series is also notable for two other distinctions: the series was comprised two distinct vehicle types (9501 - 9510 were Nabi/Ikarus while 9521 - 9539 were Flx); and 9511 - 9520 never existed.

9526 was selected as MTA's first official historic bus, and was both restored and repainted to its original livery in 2010. Photograph taken October 9, 2010 by Gary Calicchia.

MTA 09033348 viewsMaryland MTA #09033 waits for the green light on Howard Street at Baltimore Street. The latest order of 100 New Flyer Hybrids - numbered 09001 thru 09100 - began arriving in the summer of 2009 but didn't enter service until early fall. Each sports the same color scheme that first appeared on and was made popular by New Flyer DE60LFR coach 08003, though modified for a forty foot vehicle. MTA 3640 (ex-3132)567 viewsMaryland MTA #3640 is disabled seen here working the #22 to Violetville at Mondawmin station in September, 1993. At this point in time, the Flx New Looks were being retired, and it's very likely that this was the last day of service for #3640. This was one of 25 Flx New Looks (along with 25 GM New Looks) rehabbed and renumbered in 1985; it's original number was 3132. Photograph taken by Gary Calicchia.Jun 19, 2010
