Notice the missing second set of wings under the windshield (probably the result of never being replaced after an accident).

Green Lines 716828 views# 716 - a 1938 Mack model CT3G (Ser# 1016) 37 passenger (@$ 9721.20 ea.) spending its final days in the Rockaways.
This bus must have been very close to retirement because the body was no longer kept in Green Line tradition!
Most of these buses eventually went to Jamaica Buses.

Manhattan & Queens Bus Corp. 203901 views# 203 a 1946 GM model TD4506 (ser# 0737) flagged as Manhattan & Queens Bus Corporation subsidiary.
Shown heading southbound on Queens Blvd. in Kew Gardens, NY
Notice the vented rear engine compartment doors that were eliminated on the 4507 models.
Looks as though emissions were not a big issue in those days!

Notice the added GM wings and logo under the winshield and the chromium plated bumper.

Green Lines 824763 views#824 - a 1939 Mack model CM3G (Ser# 1087) dressed for the 39/40 World's Fair, and the first with an 'Air Clutch' eliminating the clutch pedal affording a much smoother ride.May 10, 2007

Green Lines 514716 views#514 - a 1935 Mack model 6CX3S (ser# 1014) - one of a 35 bus order (501 to535) and one of only fifty manufactured by Mack, and the last of the front engines.
This short 33 passenger job made the twists and turns of narrow streets much easier to negotiate.

These buses eventually went to Kent State University and to various New Jersey operators.
