CARTA 928611 viewsTailend of a retired 35-ft 1973 GMC T6H4523A CARTA bus in Chattanooga, TN. Looks can be deceiving- this bus appears to be in fine shape but the entire front end had been completely cannibalized by CARTA (used for parts). Photo taken by Mike Gallant in May, 1998.

631 viewsRetired GMC New Look at MTC South Garage in April, 1999. Photograph taken by Mike Gallant.
During a trip to Minneapolis in April '99, I found this non-operational 1967 GMC New Look bus sitting on a deserted lot at the MTC South Garage near the airport. The MTC had purchased a bunch of GMC New Looks in the 1960s but did not continue with General Motors for future bus orders. Instead, the company ordered Flxible New Looks in the 1970s. Sidenote: All Flxible New Looks arrived with the same all-red paint scheme, similar to this GMC coach....blech!!
